Imagine you're captain of a fighting airship. Now imagine you have enemies ...
The above avatar is for a project I've been developing the visual design for over the last while. The 'bot' is powered by magic and piloted by a kind of wild spirit. They aid and assist animan (anthro characters) in their tasks, such as navigating, carrying luggage, cleaning, fighting, trading, smithing ... what they'll do depends on the individual bot/ doll.
Vector in Flash using brush and fill tools, with gradients added to the background edges. Drop shadow uses 'blur fill edges' effect for soft edge
It's a simple card game for two players with a little bit of tactics thrown in. We've got the rules basically worked out but are continuing to test it as we add in special effects to make sure it stays fun.
I'm working on the look and the world it is set in - I'll be posting more pictures when I can but it is a project I do in my spare time at the moment. It is the same world as you can see in the Oddball Magic folder in my gallery.
I imported him into a photoshop file where I added a paper texture background I made (half made really - I took a photo of a cool textured paper I like and added other textures to it and changed the colour etc. I love photoshop!)
This is the shrinkified version with less detail (so it can be an avatar and part of a logo). I may post the larger one at some point aswell
